Question Buddy lets you ask questions by voice or typing, use multiple languages, connect Alexa, find suitable Intelligent apps, and track stocks and cryptocurrency with My Portfolio. Select a subject below or search for a keyword to open the detailed instructions for that feature.
Conversation Privacy: Question Buddy does not keep records of voice or text communications. Communications are used only during the active session and are discarded when the session ends.
Just talk to Question Buddy like you would talk to your buddy. You don't need special commands or special wording.
Tap the microphone once to begin a natural voice conversation. Ask a question in your own words, such as “What’s the weather today?” or “What are the top news stories?” The wobbling sphere shows that voice conversation is active.
After Buddy answers, just keep talking. You can say “What about tomorrow?”, “Tell me more about that,” or “What was the first story?” You do not need to tap the microphone again for each follow-up. Buddy keeps the context of the current voice conversation.
On iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows, Question Buddy supports continuous, natural voice conversations. Buddy automatically detects when you finish speaking and responds aloud. You can continue asking follow-up questions without restarting the microphone. The conversation remains active until you say “exit,” tap the microphone again, or press Stop.
You can still type a question and press Ask. This is separate from the voice-only conversation experience; the voice conversation does not display spoken questions, spoken answers, or transcripts as text.
Press Stop or tap the microphone again to end the voice conversation. You can start a new conversation by tapping the microphone.
Buddy can look up current information such as weather, news, sports, and stock prices when needed.
After you open Question Buddy in your web browser, you can add a Question Buddy icon to your device so it is easy to open later, just like an app.
Windows / desktop: Visit question-buddy.com on your Windows PC, click Get Production Installer, download and run the Question Buddy Windows setup, and open Question Buddy from its installed desktop or Start menu shortcut. Sign in using your Question Buddy account.
iPhone / iPad: Open Question Buddy in Safari, tap Share, then tap Add to Home Screen.
Android: Open Question Buddy in Chrome, open the browser menu, then choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
After you add the icon, just tap or click it whenever you want to open Question Buddy.
To use Question Buddy (QB) with Alexa, you need an Amazon account. Follow the process in the Question Buddy app to create your QB account. An email will be sent to your email address to confirm and finalize your QB account.
When QB asks about Alexa setup, select Yes and follow the process. You will receive another email to connect your Amazon account to your QB account through the Alexa app. After the Amazon account is successfully connected, the QB system is ready for the next step.
After you complete the account-linking process through the Amazon email and Alexa app, Question Buddy records Alexa as Active when linking succeeds. You may complete the Amazon linking before or after signing in to Question Buddy; signing in does not require an extra activation step once linking is successful.
If an error occurs, QB will let you know. Correct the reported issue and try again.
When the entire process is complete, the Alexa box in QB will show Active. This means you can now use Question Buddy with Alexa. If the process is not complete, the Alexa box will show Pending, which means you need to complete the Alexa process after correcting any reported issues.
After successfully setting up your Amazon Alexa app, and when the Question Buddy app shows Active:
On an Alexa device or in the Alexa app, say “Alexa, open Question Buddy.” Alexa will let you know that Question Buddy is ready. From there, just ask your questions naturally. You can keep asking follow-up questions without repeating the opening phrase each time.
The Alexa app on your phone works the same way as an Alexa device for using Question Buddy.
Alexa devices have a time limit of approximately 5 seconds. If you stop talking for too long, Alexa will end and reset the session, and you will have to start over.
In voice conversations on iPhone/iPad, Android, and Windows, Question Buddy automatically recognizes supported spoken languages and answers aloud in the language you use. You can switch languages without announcing the change. Voice conversations do not display written transcripts.

Choose a category if you want, then describe what you want the Intelligent to do. Tap the green Search button.
Question Buddy looks at the meaning of your whole request and returns up to 3 relevant Intelligent apps. Unrelated apps are not included.
If there is not a reliable match, Question Buddy will tell you instead of showing a poor result. It may also offer to search a larger list of qualifying Intelligent apps.
When results are available, use the result buttons to visit or download an app when a valid site is available. Generate PDF is available only after a search has completed and results are shown.
My Portfolio lets you load, organize, and view your stock and cryptocurrency holdings inside Question Buddy. You must be logged in before the My Portfolio button becomes active.
Open My Portfolio: Tap or click My Portfolio. On Windows and iPhone/iPad, it opens separately from the main Question Buddy screen so Question Buddy can remain available. On Android, Question Buddy uses the My Portfolio companion app.
Android first-time setup: If the My Portfolio Android app is not installed, Question Buddy will ask whether you want to install it. Choose OK to start the installation or Cancel to stay in Question Buddy. After installation, open My Portfolio again from Question Buddy.
Load / New Portfolios: Choose Load / New Portfolios, then select one or more clear pictures or screenshots of your portfolio. Review the pictures before continuing. You can remove or reload individual pictures if needed. Choose Create / Update when the pictures are correct.
View / Update Portfolios: Choose View / Update Portfolios to see your saved holdings. Stocks are shown separately from cryptocurrency when cryptocurrency holdings exist. Quantities, current values, totals, and other available portfolio information are shown.
Market values: While the portfolio is displayed, current market values refresh automatically every minute. You can also press Update for an immediate refresh. The screen shows UPDATE IN PROGRESS while updating and UPDATED when complete.
Add and Update Ticker: Use Add Ticker to enter a valid stock or cryptocurrency ticker, quantity, and total cost basis. Use Update Ticker to revise a holding and select its Stocks or Crypto category. The cost basis per share is calculated from total cost basis and quantity. Quantity values support up to eight decimal places in both Stocks and Crypto; other displayed numeric columns generally show two decimal places.
Sort and percentages: Select a column heading to sort ascending or descending. Stocks and cryptocurrency are sorted independently; saved row order is retained. The %Gain column shows percentage gain or loss, including an overall total.
Update Ticker: Select the existing stock or cryptocurrency holding to edit, then use Update Ticker to enter its valid ticker, quantity, and total cost basis. The cost basis per share is calculated automatically. Save applies the update and recalculates the portfolio; Cancel leaves the holding unchanged. To add a new holding, use Add Ticker.
Generate PDF: When a portfolio exists, use the blue PDF button to create a PDF of the portfolio.
Exit: Choose Exit to close My Portfolio only. Question Buddy stays open. Logging out of or closing Question Buddy also closes access to My Portfolio.
That's it — just talk to Question Buddy like you would talk to your buddy.

Alexa access, when enabled, is connected to your same Question Buddy account.
Enter the email used by your Amazon/Alexa account. Question Buddy will register that email for the Open Question Buddy beta test. After Amazon accepts it, use the beta-test link, accept Amazon's beta terms, enable the skill, and complete Account Linking with your Question Buddy account.
Once linking is successful, you can use your Amazon devices or Alexa App and say:
“Alexa, open Question Buddy.”
Once Alexa confirms Question Buddy is active, you can start conversing with it as usual.
Stripe is for Question Buddy Web subscriptions. Stripe payment processing is not active yet.
A confirmation email must be sent to your email address. Question Buddy remains locked until the email is confirmed. Please Check your Spam/Junk box for the confirmation email from Question Buddy address if the message is not in your Inbox.
Enter your email and password first. Cancellation requires confirmation so it cannot happen accidentally.
